The Ottawa Valley Golden Retriever Club hosts a number of Canadian Kennel Club events throughout the year. In both the Spring and the Fall, the Club holds 4 Licenced Obedience Trials. Typically, they are held in early February and late October.
In the Summer, the Club hosts 4 CKC Agility Trials. For those of you who are interested in Field events, in September or October, WC/I/X tests are offerred and for the first time, in 2009 we will host a Hunt Test.

In addition to licenced trials and tests, the Club hosts a volunteer dinner in March and our Annual General Meeting is held in April.

OVGRC will host several obedience matches in 2010/2011. They will be held at The Training Hall in Carp, ON. The dates for the matches are September 17th, October 7th, October 22nd, November 12th, January 21st and February 4th. The matches on October 22 and February 4th will be a Show 'n' Go in one area of TTH and a Sanction match in another area. The other matches will all be Show 'n' Go's.
